President of the National Council for Cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia (ICTY) Rasim Ljajic met today with a Norwegian delegation, through whose embassy in Belgrade Serbia maintains contact with NATO's Brussels headquarters.
The National Council said in a statement that Ljajic stressed the Serbian government's political willingness to capture The Hague indictees still on the run and briefed the delegation on the Council's activities regarding the implementation of the Action Plan.
Norwegian Ambassador to Serbia Haakon Blankenborg, who headed the delegation, pointed out that NATO wishes these activities to take place on a regular basis and that Serbia keeps informing them, as well as the EU, about the progress of the Action plan, since that is a precondition for Serbia to enter the Partnership for Peace programme.
The collocutors agreed that Ambassador Blankenborg and coordinators of Ljajic's team should meet once a week so that the NATO's Brussels headquarters could be duly updated.
