Serbian Minister of Justice Zoran Stojkovic said today during a visit to Kraljevo that the efficiency of work of regular courts in Serbia has increased by 20%, and of commercial courts by 47%.
At a press conference held after the meeting with judiciary representatives in Kraljevo, Stojkovic pointed out that the Ministry's aim is to resolve cases within a period of three to six months.
An increase in efficiency has been achieved by excluding the registers and materials not related to court, so the time needed to solve a court case has been reduced from the previous 1000 days to 600, the Minister explained.
He announced the adoption of certain laws that will enable the speeding up of both civil and courts proceedings, as well as the adoption of the law on notaries public which is in the final stage of preparation.
