Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Ivana Dulic-Markovic said that this agreement is very important support for Serbia at the moment when Serbia is about to face a number of important issues.
The agreement on economic and technical cooperation with China gives support to improving political and economic cooperation between the two countries, which is of great importance for Serbia as the country’s trade deficit with China will be reduced.
With this donation, China’s total support to Serbia amounts to more than €17 million, Dulic-Markovic said.
Even more importantly, China has recognised Serbia as an important bilateral partner in the region, she noted adding that both sides expressed readiness to further develop bilateral relations.
The Serbian Deputy Prime Minister also met today with Chinese State Councillor Tang Jiaxuan. We agreed on all important issues and we are very pleased with the talks, the Chinese State Councillor said noting that Serbia was the first stop on his Western Balkan tour, by which the Chinese government wanted to show its great dedication to Serbia.
Tang said he was convinced that a joint effort of both countries would soon lift bilateral relations to a higher level.
