WHO reports favourable results for Serbian Ministry of Health

Serbian Deputy Minister of Health Nevena Karanovic said today that the World Health Organisation (WHO) has assessed that the Serbian Ministry of Health’s results in the health sector reform are favourable.
In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Karanovic said that Nata Menabde, Director of the Division of Country Support at the WHO Regional Office for Europe, at a meeting in Podgorica, pointed out that Serbia-Montenegro is on the right track towards carrying out a good health sector reform.
The Deputy Minister added that, it was agreed during the meeting, that the Ministry of Health begins the project realisation on tobacco control on September 1.
According to her, the project will be realised with the Montenegrin Ministry of Health’s support, which managed, in a fairly short period, to achieve good results in this field.
