Stojkovic stated that the Council of Europe and the Venetian Commission will provide significant assistance to the Ministry of Justice in the preparation of an action plan for the implementation of the national strategy for judiciary reform, as well as for the implementation of adopted principles and specific measures in practice.
Massari pointed out that the OSCE will provide all necessary assistance in the training process and the education of judges and prosecutors who will head the reform process, and added that the OSCE will provide its opinion and comments on the working version of the national strategy for judiciary reform by July 15.
It was agreed at the meeting that an OSCE representative will take part as an observer in the work of a commission charged with coordinating the final process and implementing the national strategy for judiciary reform.
Massari expressed pleasure and gratitude to the Minister of Justice for establishing new work places in courts in south Serbia, which provided the opportunity for more ethnic Albanians to take part, as well as for the implementation of bilingualism in the judicial system in that part of Serbia.
Minister Stojkovic accepted Massari’s invitation to take part in the OSCE Mission to Serbia-Montenegro conference on the fight against corruption to be held in September.
