South Serbia municipalities to receive judicial reforms

Advisor to the Serbian Minister of Justice and member of the South Serbia Coordination Body Milisav Coguric talked today with mayor of Presevo Riza Halimi and mayor of Bujanovac Nagip Arifi about the activities the Ministry of Justice is undertaking concerning the introduction of bilingualism in municipal court proceedings in Presevo and Bujanovac. They also talked about measures that will be undertaken for changing the ethnic composition of judicial bodies in that region.
Improvement of financial and operating conditions of these bodies was also discussed, and they reached full agreement on the advancement of the good cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and the municipality authorities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja.
The OSCE Coordinator for south Serbia, Martin Brooks, with his associates, also attended the meeting.
