Naumov speaks to Vrsac officials

Belgrade/Vrsac, 5 July 2005

Serbian Minister of Energy and Mining Radomir Naumov met today with representatives of the Vrsac municipal authorities to discuss energy supply problems and potentials for further development in the city.

Mayor Jovica Zarakula said that it is necessary to improve the energy situation in ten villages and to explore possibilities to strengthen economic capacities in the entire municipality.

He said that Vrsac plans to expand its economic development to spa tourism given that a recently discovered geothermal spring is a resource that could drive the development of spa tourism in the municipality

Naumov said that the ministry will do everything to help geological exploration in the municipality and to develop the electricity transmission network.
