Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said at the opening of a new foundry at Livnica Kikinda-Cimos in Kikinda today that what Serbia needs the most is new jobs and new factories and he stressed that the opening of the new plant marks a new beginning for entire Serbia.

The opening of the new plant, which cost € 11 million, was also attended by Minister of Economy Predrag Bubalo, Minister of Capital Investment Velimir Ilic, and Cimos Corporation President Frank Krasovec.
Bubalo recalled that Livnica in Kikinda is the first Serbian factory to have been restructured with the government’s support and that this method of restructuring has proven very successful.
The new plant will produce components for auto industry using new and unique technology. Livnica is equipped with brand new equipment imported from renowned international manufacturers.
