Predrag Bubalo
After attending a meeting in Paris called "Days of Economic Relations with Serbia", Bubalo told the Tanjug news agency that the meeting was also attended by Montenegrin Deputy Minister of Finance Milorad Katnic and National Bank of Serbia Governor Radovan Jelasic, as well as most important current and prospective investors in Serbia-Montenegro.
Stressing that French businessmen have been encouraged by the success of the conference of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Belgrade, Bubalo said that the main objective at the moment is to attract French small and medium-sized enterprises to Serbia.
French investors have been further encouraged by the positive assessment of the feasibility study for Serbia's accession to the EU and presence of large French companies on the Serbian market, such as Societe Generale and Credit Agricole, both such institutions allowing for greater ease in payment operations by French firms and increased trust in the Serbian market.
Bubalo said that he had important meetings in Paris with representatives of the Alcatel telecommunications company and the Vansi company, which is one of the world's leaders in the field of construction, roads, energy and information technologies.
Vansi has two branch offices in Serbia, Bubalo explained and said that this company is interested in taking part in the construction of highway Belgrade-south Adriatic coast and roads Novi Sad-Subotica and Nis-Dimitrovgrad.
