During his meeting with Rasinski District and Krusevac municipality leaders, Ilic said that 18 million dinars have been invested in the access road as well as the reconstruction of the old Ribare village bridge, which connects Ribarska Banja with the Krusevac road.
According to him, this is just the beginning of major investments in the Krusevac municipality to be followed by the construction of an overpass at a junction which was a black spot and where 15 persons lost their lives in road accidents last year.
The Minister specified that 200 million dinars will be invested in the completion of the Krusevac north roundabout, on the Pojate-Cacak road, along with a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and added that 20 million dinars will be set aside for developing the Jastrebac picnic area, 10 million dinars for repairing recent flood damage, and around 70 million dinars for the Ribarska Banja project.
Considerable funds will also be set aside for investment projects in other Rasinski District municipalities, above all for building tourist facilities on Mt. Kopaonik.
He underlined that this year work would continue on Corridor 10, as well as in the area of telecommunications. Besides this, projects on the Belgrade-Pozega highway will be completed and construction of the Pojate-Cacak semi highway will follow.
Special emphasis will be placed on solving infrastructure problems in mountain areas and villages, such as projects on the Kopaonik, Jastrebac, Zlatibor, Mokra Gora, Golija mountains and other areas.
Ilic mentioned the example of the new ski lift on Mt. Kopanik, worth € 1.7 million, which earned € 2 million in just one season.
