Beric assessed that this seminar was educational, as experts of the International Telecommunication Union presented new technologies, appropriate planning strategies and tools in the field of telecommunications.
He said that the results of this seminar, which gathered over 90 participants from 17 countries, as well as eight eminent speakers from Britain, Spain, Bulgaria and Germany, will be significant.
Beric added that some of these lectures will benefit the future work of the newly formed Telecommunications Agency, whose first task will be to regulate the use of frequencies.
The regional seminar on evolving network infrastructures to NGN (New Generation Network) and related planning strategies and tools for countries of central and east Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Baltic States was organised by the Serbian Ministry of Capital Investments and the International Telecommunication Union.
As this is the first gathering of its kind organised by Serbia in cooperation with the International Telecommunication Union, it will help affirm Serbia and enable local experts to learn more about current trends in the development of telecommunications.
