Milan Parivodic
Parivodic, who will attend a ministerial conference in Athens entitled “Energy Community: Energy Efficiency, Development and Entrepreneurship”, told the Beta news agency that he discussed with Stilianidis the implementation of a state “Greek Plan for Economic Reconstruction of the Balkans”.
He reminded that as part of this plan Greece pledged in 2001 to help Serbia with € 232.5 million, however due to financial difficulties it was not in a position to do so up until now.
Parivodic said that he reached an agreement with Stilianidis to extend this five year inter-state agreement for another five years, thus the deadline for the ESOAV plan realisation will be extended from 2006 to 2011.
According to this plan, the construction of the highway section through Serbia from Vladicin Han to the Macedonian border, along the European Corridor 10, is expected.
The Minister added that the European Agency for Reconstruction has provided funds for the feasibility study for a road section, whose construction, would be financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank, along with Greece.
