Djuric calls on Svetozar Marovic to defend human rights of all Montenegrins

Head of the Serbian government’s Office of Media Relations Srdjan Djuric called on President of the state union of Serbia-Montenegro Svetozar Marovic to use his authority in Serbia and the EU to enable all Montenegrin nationals to vote at a potential referendum.

In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Djuric pointed out that this concerns basic human and democratic rights and the President’s support is therefore necessary.
Recalling the three recent referendums in France, Italy and the Netherlands in which all citizens of these countries had the right to vote, he warned that Serbia-Montenegro must not tolerate any violation of human rights.
