Serbian economy presented in Spain

Serbian Minister of International Economic Relations Milan Parivodic said today that representatives of the machine industry, construction firms and largest banks in Spain showed great interest in investing in Serbia.

Following the presentation of the Serbian economy at the association of industrialists in Madrid, Parivodic said that the Spanish business community is especially interested in the railway industry, infrastructure, construction, and medical equipment as well as the possible business concessions they might receive with their investments.
After the meeting, the Minister said that the Spanish market should be much better acquainted with the opportunities that Serbia offers, since Spanish businessmen had focused exclusively on the Latin American market until two or three years ago.
“They do not know much about the Balkans and Serbia could use that to define itself as a ‘central platform’ for business activities in the Balkans”, Parivodic said.
