Labus and Svoboda agreed that relations between the two countries are very good and they pointed to the need to further improve economic ties and to establish a higher degree of communication between Czech and Serbian businesspeople and state officials.
Svoboda recalled that the Czech Republic had chosen Serbia as one of the eight countries to receive its developmental aid and he pointed out that the country will give full support to Serbia in its accession to the EU.
Labus said that Serbia is open for all forms of cooperation and he suggested that full access to the EU’s pre-accession funds would be very beneficial for Serbia on the road of European integration.
Svoboda said he is convinced that current problems facing the EU will not have a negative impact on the speed of Serbia’s accession.
