Bernard Buckley of the European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR) in Serbia delivered the keys to the new Horgos border crossing between Serbia-Montenegro and Hungary to the Manager of the Serbian Construction Office Slavisa Zlatanovic. The construction of the crossing amounting to €10 million was financed by the EU through the EAR.
The ceremony was attended by Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Ivana Dulic-Markovic and the Deputy Minister of Capital Investment Milan Miljevic.
The Horgos crossing takes up a surface area of 15.5 hectares and it will soon be opened for the traffic of passengers and goods. The entire complex comprises 8 car lanes, 4 bus lanes, 2 truck exit lanes and a customs terminus with facilities for veterinary and phytosanitary control.
