Labus told a press conference that the Strategy is a summary of all results achieved in the process of European integration and goals that need to be achieved before Serbia can become an EU member.
The Serbian Deputy Prime Minister said that the adoption of 41 laws is planned for by the end of the year and voiced hope that the parliament will speed up its work and pass these laws on time.
He explained that laws on free trade, customs and a new tariff rate should be adopted before the negotiations on the stabilisation and association agreement get off the ground.
According to Labus, it is also necessary to adopt a set of judiciary laws leading to a needed change in the domestic judiciary system, a number of tax-related laws and a set of laws on food control, food quality and work of inspection services.
