Serbian Minister of Capital Investment Velimir Ilic said today that the municipalities of Bor, Kragujevac and Vranje will be assigned a "special status" under which they will receive funding from the state budget for crediting businessmen at favourable interest rates and for the participation of the local self-government in the allocation of land and building of infrastructure.
During his visit to Bor, Ilic said that work on the completion of Bor-Zajecar road will begin today. The construction of the road began in 2000 and will be finished next year.
The Minister said that construction of this 11 kilometre long road will cost around €5 million. Upon the completion of this project, the Timocka Krajina region will be connected with the Pan-European road and railway Corridor 10.
