Construction companies to receive overdue payments by late August

The Serbian Road Directorate and the Vojvodinaput road company today signed an agreement regulating the payment of a debt to Vojvodinaput for construction of a highway section from Horgos to Feketic.
Head of the Road Directorate Branko Jocic delivered Vojvodinaput representatives a bill signed by Serbian Finance Minister Mladjan Dinkic with a value of around 7.5 million dinars and having a ten-day maturity period. Jocic also delivered a bill worth around €6 million with a ninety-day maturity period.
Director of Vojvodinaput Marko Cigic welcomed the signing of the agreement and said that by accepting to pay the debt to Vojvodinaput the state showed that it is ready to meet its obligations.
Jocic said that by late August the state will pay debts to all road companies in Serbia, totalling around 7.4 billion dinars. The funds will be set aside from the budget surplus, as agreed with representatives of the Serbian Ministry of Finance, Jocic concluded.
