Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic and Vice President of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia-Herzegovina and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Sarovic signed today the Protocol on the abolishment of non-tariff barriers to trade between the two countries.
Speaking at a joint press conference after the signing of the document, Ljajic said that 13 barriers were identified that hamper a more intensive trade and free flow of goods.
He explained that after two meetings of the working groups of the two countries, seven barriers were removed, two will be removed by the end of January of 2018 and another four remain to be abolished.
I think we have established a model of cooperation that will be applicable in the trade between the two countries, and which we can present as an example of good practice with other countries in the region, Ljajic stated.
Sarovic pointed out that Serbia is the second most important trade partner of Bosnia-Herzegovina and explained that all measures are aimed at improving cooperation between the two countries, which can be seen by increased trade that is recorded every year.
