On the first day of a ministerial meeting in Bergen, Norway, Serbian Minister of Education and Sport Slobodan Vuksanovic submitted a report on the Ministry's activities in the field of higher education and pointed to the importance of a law on higher education, which is to be adopted in the Serbian parliament in the next few weeks.

The meeting focused on participation of students in policy making at universities. The Serbian Minister of Education and Sport said in his address that representatives of student organisations of all faculties in Serbia are working on a law on student organisations.
The Bergen ministerial meeting gathers ministers from 46 European countries with the aim of reporting on and making suggestions concerning the implementation of the Bologna process that should be completed by 2010.
