Ilic told reporters that about €6 million will be invested in the construction of the 1,600 metre long roundabout. A tunnel through the Kablar Mountain, which will be 440 metres long, and a new bridge across the Zapadna Morava River, spanning 150 metres, will also be built.
He assessed that construction of the roundabout will solve traffic congestion near Ovcar Banja on the Cacak-Pozega-Uzice road and that the project will be completed in 20 months.
According to Ilic, funds were set aside from a European Investment Bank loan approved for repairing “black spots” in Serbian roads.
The Serbian Roads Directorate will pay out a debt of about 7.2 billion dinars to all companies that worked on road construction in Serbia in the last ten years, the Minister said and announced that the payment of this debt will be done in five months and start in June.
