Austrians interested in investing in telecommunications

During today’s talks, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Miroljub Labus and Austrian Vice Chancellor and Minister of Transport, Innovation and Technology Hubert Gorbach expressed satisfaction with the increased exchange of goods and improved bilateral economic cooperation, especially in the area of banking.

Gorbach, who headed the Austrian business delegation, conveyed the interest of the Austrian business community in investing in telecommunications and confirmed that a share of Mobtel was bought two days ago in Vienna.
He pointed out that the Austrian government is aware of the problem of unresolved ownership rights in the telecommunications sector and said that Austria would exert efforts to resolve this problem amicably.
Labus informed the guests that the Serbian government would adopt a unified position on this issue and added that the privatisation of the telecommunications sector must be done transparently, with full protection of state interests.
