Serbian Minister Labour, Employment and Social Policy Slobodan Lalovic presented today software called ‘anReader’ to visually impaired computer users at the Association of Blind People of Serbia.

Lalovic said that it is a basic duty of this Ministry to systematically improve the position of disabled citizens and announced the adoption of a series of laws that will regulate this area. He noted that a society that cares for disabled persons has a future.
He pointed out that of the 111 software programmes for which the Ministry set aside 1.7 million dinars, 90 were presented today. The rest will be presented on May 18 in Novi Sad, as the government wishes all disabled Serbian citizens have access to this software.
The Minister explained that this is the most advanced speech synthesiser in Serbian, and added that it was made by the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad in cooperation with the AlfaNum Company from Novi Sad.
