At a round table titled “Free Travel to EU: White Schengen List Inclusion”, which was organised by the Ministry of International Economic Relations, the Stability Pact for Southeastern Europe, the Institute for International Policy and Economy and the European Movement in Serbia, Lopandic said that Serbia-Montenegro should regulate this elementary problem.
Hungary and Romania introduced visas for Serbia-Montenegrin citizens over the past five years, he recalled noting that Bulgaria is preparing to do the same.
Secretary General of the European Movement in Serbia Danijel Pantic said that five years after the democratic changes, Serbia-Montenegrin citizens have much stricter rules to respect in order to meet visa requirements than during the Slobodan Milosevic rule.
The round table aims to initiate a public debate on what certain state bodies have done so far to tackle this problem, said Director of the Institute for International Policy and Economy Vatroslav Vekaric.
