The first trucks transporting construction material for building and repairing houses arrived in the Banat villages of Jasa Tomic and Medja, which were both hit hard by the flooding of the Tamis River.

A commission formed to make a record of destroyed houses and evaluate damages to agricultural land announced today after inspecting some of the flooded areas in the Jasa Tomic and Busenje villages, that the flooding has so far destroyed 250 houses and that damage just to the buildings is 140 million dinars.
Estimated damages are presumed to be substantially higher, considering that experts predict that a large number of the nearly 1,000 houses in the area will fall down after the water withdraws.
