Serbian Minister of Health Tomica Milosavljevic said today that the Ministry of Health is taking all necessary measures in order to prevent an outbreak of epidemics in Serbia’s flooded areas following the water’s withdrawal.

Milosavljevic said that authorities responded immediately to the news about the first water wave and he added that ministry officials have been present in the affected areas in Banat and that the Assistant Minister of Health went to Leskovac on Saturday.
Milosavljevic explained that health problems usually occur when the water withdraws from flooded areas and he added that the Ministry of Health has had good cooperation with the Ministry of Capital Investment and the Ministry of Agriculture in this field.
