Serbian Minister of Capital Investment Velimir Ilic and Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Evripides Stylianidis talked today about the reactivation of the Hellenic Programme envisioning extensive participation of Greece in the completion of construction of a highway section on Corridor 10 leading from the Vlasotinac cloverleaf, through the Gdelica gorge to the Macedonian border.
Ilic and Stylianidis voiced satisfaction with cooperation between the two countries and agreed that both Greece and Serbia are ready and capable for the realisation of much larger joint projects, especially in the field of the economy.
The two officials came to the conclusion that, as soon as possible, interstate commissions should be created in order to deal with the construction of the highway section. The commission would also be charged with the responsibility of using a special €40 million fund from the Greek government’s project of development in the Western Balkans, especially in the field of small and medium-sized enterprises in Serbia. The commission would further tackle the stimulating of Greek companies to invest in Serbia.
