Citizens of flooded areas should not succumb to misinformation

Head of the Serbian government's Office of Media Relations Srdjan Djuric called on citizens of flooded areas in Banat not to succumb to misinformation regarding the government's decision to repair everything that has been damaged in that natural disaster.

Djuric told the Tanjug news agency that the Serbian government yesterday adopted a Conclusion that is a legally binding act according to which the government committed to use state funds to fully repair all demolished houses and damage to the region. The inhabitants of the Banat villages will then be able to return to normal life.
"We appeal once more to stop the primitive propaganda which brings into question the government's determination to meet its obligations. That kind of manipulation with people's misfortune can bring no good", Djuric said and added that every citizen of the flooded area should be sure that the government will repair all the damage and meet all its obligations.
