Body of Zabalj bridge accident victim identified

Zrenjanin, 6 May 2005

Goran Zec, the judge from the Zrenjanin District Court investigating the Zabalj bridge accident in which a bus fell into the Tisa River, announced today that the autopsy confirmed that the body found yesterday in the Tisa River near Titel was that of Zdravko Senci (21) from Donji Tavankut.

Coordinator of the Tisa River search team Milan Mihailovic told the Tanjug news agency that six teams equipped with two sonars as well as an additional team of five divers from Hungary with two sonars continue to search for the remaining victims. Mihailovic said that the Tisa River was being constantly monitored with modern equipment, as there are still seven more victims that have yet to be found.

The Serbian Ministry of Capital Investment announced yesterday that the search for the remaining passengers continues. All official information can be obtained at the Zrenjanin crisis centre.
