Dutch investment in development of agriculture in Serbia

Minister of Economy Zeljko Sertic and Minister of Finance Dusan Vujovic met today with representatives of the Dutch company "Royal De Heus Group" to discuss the planned investments worth $20 million in livestock and food production in Serbia.
The guests from the Netherlands presented the plans of "Royal De Heus Group" to employ 250 people and provide a production capacity of 350,000 tonnes of high-quality animal feed.
This will be done by investing in an existing factory in Sabac, and the purchase of two more production plants.
Sertic promised all necessary assistance of the government of Serbia, noting that the new investment will allow the investors to rapidly implement their plans.
Vujovic expressed satisfaction that the Dutch company will use in small quantities the chemicals and antibiotics in order to have a healthy animal feed.
Owner and CEO Koen De Heus said that he is very satisfied with the cooperation with the government of Serbia, and that the company wants to contribute to the long-term development of agriculture in our country through investments in production capacities, the people and its clients, but also through the transfer of knowledge.
