The commission is chaired by Serbian Minister of Economy Zeljko Sertic and Belarusian Minister of Trade Vladimir Koltovic.
A business forum of Serbia and Belarus will also be held today in Minsk.
Over 100 businessmen, agricultural producers and representatives of around 40 companies from Serbia will participate in the business forum.
Minister of Economy Zeljko Sertic, who is heading the Serbian delegation, said before the beginning of the meeting that he believes that there is potential for cooperation in many areas, especially in civil engineering and mechanical engineering.
Sertic said that the idea is to employ domestic companies on projects in Belarus.
He noted that economic cooperation between Serbia and Belarus is not as good as political relations, adding that trade exchange is modest and that last year it stood at $103 million.
In 2014 it dropped by $145 million and our task is to bring it back to the level from two years ago, Sertic said.
The Minister of Economy announced that special focus will be placed on possibilities for joint participation in public calls for public procurements as part of the Eurasian Economic Union.
Sertic stated that many Serbian companies have export potential and that 57 companies from the meat and food industries have certificates for export on the Belarusian market, whereas only two companies from Belarus can export to Serbia.
He added that details of export of Fiat cars from Serbia will be discussed in the next few days with representatives of the government of Belarus.
