Automotive industry great export potential of Serbia

Minister of Economy Zeljko Sertic opened today DDOR BG Car Show 05 and motorcycles fair Motopassion, with the message that the Serbian government enabled the opening of 10,000 new jobs in the automotive industry of Serbia in next two years.

Speaking on the occasion, Sertic said that last year, for the first time since 2008, a growth in sales of new cars was recorded and more than 20,000 cars were sold.
The Minister pointed out that the number of new cars sold in 2015 is a good signal for the Serbian car market and car industry, adding that this is also a result of the economic reforms implemented by the Serbian government.
Sertic said that export of Fiat only amounted to more than €1.2 billion last year, making this company the biggest Serbian exporter.
More than 300 exhibitors from over 20 countries is taking part in this year's fairs of cars and motorcycles in Belgrade.
