While touring the Panasonic factory, where he met with the company’s management for Europe, Vucic said that this complex centre is a leader among Serbian exporters.
He said that the plant, which opened its facilities in Serbia in 2011, made a surplus of $27 million and employs 394 workers.
The government of Serbia is ready to help Panasonic to further expand and hire more workers, Vucic said.
The Prime Minister promised government incentives to significantly increase the number of employees.
He expressed confidence that the Japanese company will expand production, contribute to the growth of GDP and employment in Serbia, but also to the arrival of new Japanese investors.
The Prime Minister announced that the VAT collection in the first three months will be 5% higher than planned, which is very good.
Results from the expenditure side will be better than planned, which means that the deficit will be significantly lower, Vucic explained, adding that solid foundations for the Serbian economy are being laid.
He also announced that in a few days we could hear positive news when it comes to duty-free export of 10,000 Fiat cars from Serbia to Russia.
