The factory in Smederevo is in the process of obtaining the necessary permits for the production and export, and in April this year it should start working at full capacity.
100 workers will be employed this year, of which 80% are women, while the plant will have a total of 300 employees when it reaches peak production.
The capacity of fish processing is 30,000 tonnes per year, which will be achieved in three years.
The Memorandum of Understanding between the German company, the government of Serbia and the city of Smederevo was signed in early October last year.
