Minister of Economy Zeljko Sertic met today with representatives of the International Monetary Fund to talk on the activities relating to the completion of the privatisation process, the reform of public enterprises and improvement of systems and processes of bankruptcy in Serbia.
Sertic said that currently the focus is on 10 strategic enterprises, for which protection from creditors expires on 31 May, and stressed that there will be no extension of deadlines.
The biggest problems are RTB Bor and Resavica, he said and added that the Serbian government is determined to find optimal solutions.
What is certain is that the state will not financially back these companies, he said.
