Vucic said that the total value of the works is around €12 million and voiced hope that they will be completed by September 2017.
Serbia has earmarked around RSD 660 million for this project, while the rest is financed by Bosnia-Herzegovina and Republika Srpska.
He recalled that the Serbian government has already paid RSD 50 million for the project documentation, and noted that the construction of Ljubovija-Bratunac bridge will enable a faster flow of goods and capital.
The bridge will be 227 metres long and will have bicycle and passenger tracks, and it will be possible to carry out the transport of goods without any impediments.
Vucic announced that the Serbian government will try to continue to connect Uzice with Visegrad and open communication links with Bosnia-Herzegovina.
President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, who also attended this event, stated that cooperation between Serbia and Republika Srpska has never been better, and the proof of that is this project.
According to Dodik, this bridge should improve development potential of Serbia and Republika Srpska, and boost the economy and flow of goods.
He voiced the hope that the bridge will be completed within deadline and that there will be more similar projects.
The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic and Minister of Spatial Planning, Construction and Ecology of Republika Srpska Srebrenka Golic.
