Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, met today with Prime Minister of the Republic of Cameroon Joseph Dion Ngute as part of a high-level commemorative meeting marking the 65th anniversary of the first conference of the Non-Aligned Movement.

The interlocutors noted that Serbia and Cameroon are linked by traditionally friendly relations based on mutual respect and support.
Macut emphasised that Serbia is committed to further strengthening political dialogue and improving cooperation in the areas of the economy, agriculture, education, infrastructure, sport and information technology.
The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to Cameroon for its principled support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia.
The interlocutors stressed the importance of cooperation within the Non-Aligned Movement, as well as their shared commitment to peace, multilateralism and respect for the principles of international law.
Macut conveyed his gratitude to Cameroon for confirming its participation in Specialised Expo 2027 and assessed that this event would provide an additional opportunity to deepen cooperation between the two countries.
Prime Minister Dion Ngute emphasised the importance of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Cameroon, which have lasted for 60 years, highlighting the importance of cooperation in the areas of agriculture, science and energy and proposing joint investments and networking between companies.
As the Prime Minister of Cameroon is a great fan of Nikola Jokić, the Prime Minister of Serbia presented him with a jersey of the renowned Serbian basketball player at the end of the meeting.
