Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, met today with Prime Minister of the Republic of Mozambique Maria Benvinda Levi to discuss the enhancement of bilateral relations between the two countries.

The meeting took place as part of a high-level commemorative meeting dedicated to marking the 65th anniversary of the first conference of the Non-Aligned Movement, held in Belgrade in 1961.
Macut noted that Serbia and Mozambique are linked by decades of friendship and mutual respect, adding that there is considerable scope for strengthening cooperation, particularly in the fields of agriculture, energy, construction, information technology and tourism.
The Prime Minister conveyed gratitude to Mozambique for its principled respect for Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, stressing the importance of continuing political dialogue and exchanging high-level visits.
Levi expressed gratitude for Serbia’s hospitality, noting that it demonstrates the strong ties between the two countries and assessing that today’s meeting provides an additional impetus for deepening friendly relations and cooperation between Serbia and Mozambique.
The Prime Minister of Mozambique particularly emphasised the importance of cooperation in the areas of agriculture, the economy, culture and defence.
She stated that her country will always base its international policy on a position of neutrality and extended an invitation to the Serbian Prime Minister to visit Mozambique.
