Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, met today with Minister of National Defence of the Lebanese Republic Michel Menassa as part of a high-level commemorative meeting dedicated to marking the 65th anniversary of the First Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement.

Macut underlined that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Lebanon, which are characterised by mutual understanding and respect.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to Lebanon for its consistent stance on respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia.
He welcomed the confirmed participation of Lebanon in the Specialised Expo 2027 in Belgrade and expressed his belief that this event will contribute to further bringing the two countries closer together.
Menassa assessed that there are significant opportunities for further improving cooperation between Serbia and Lebanon in areas of mutual interest.
