IMF will approve first revision of reforms programme

Minister of Finance Dusan Vujovic stated that the first revision of the programme of government reforms, which the International Monetary Fund (IMF) supported with a three-year arrangement, will be made tomorrow by the IMF Board of Directors.
According to information obtained, the entire report has been preliminary approved without discussion.
Speaking at a press conference in the Serbian government, on the occasion of the successful first revision of the three-year precautionary arrangement with the IMF and the approval of the five-year programme of cooperation between Serbia and the World Bank, Vujovic stated that, accordingly, there will be no discussions at the IMF Board of Directors, but rather the first revision will be approved in due course. According to Vujovic, it is very good news that the report arrived on time and that no one raised any questions.
That means that we implemented that programme very successfully and that there are no doubts regarding the progress made, the Minister underlined.
Vujovic reiterated that this is a very good result and at the same time a recognition to the Serbian government and our country for successful implementation of the reforms that were defined in October last year.
