Minister of Finance Dusan Vujovic stated today that the Mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) concluded that structural and macroeconomic measures implemented by the Serbian government are going in the right direction.

the first official meeting of the delegations of Serbia and this mission, explained that today's meeting was an introductory meeting, where they discussed the fundamental issues and noted that all the structural measures and macro measures have been implemented as planned.
In addition, a list of issues to be discussed this week were examined, the Minister said, specifying that the main topics of the first audit of the three-year arrangement are the situation in public finances Serbia, restructuring of public enterprises, reducing the number of employees in the public sector and privatisation.
For starters, the Serbian side presented the budget deficit which amounts to RSD 21 billion instead of the planned RSD 71 billion, which the IMF described as very good news and a very good start, which should be maintained until the end of the year, Vujovic said.
