We will have a global service provider with more than 1,400 employees, Sertic told reporters after signing the agreement at the Serbian government building.
The minister specified that the subsidies for NCR will be paid in tranches. NCR will pay a gross amount of €43 million in salaries for the new employees, while the government will provide less than ten percent of this sum, he said.
The subsidies will ensure more tax revenue for the state budget and provide jobs for a large number of people, Sertic stressed.
Rick Marquardt of the NCR, which has so far invested €6.4 million in Serbia, said that this partnership lays the foundation for further growth of the company and improves the conditions of doing business in Serbia.
US Ambassador to Serbia Michael Kirby said that Serbia's future is based on young people and that NCR employs young people who speak several languages, who are mostly university-educated and who have IT skills.
