Minister of Economy Zeljko Sertic and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Kori Udovicki spoke today with a delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), led by Alan Rousso, about the continuation of cooperation and its modalities.

Sertic pointed out that cooperation in the privatisation process is of particular importance, as well as the education of managers of public companies so that they could operate according to corporate standards.
Udovicki announced that the Bill on inspection services will be discussed by the parliament on 1 April, and noted that businessmen were the ones who have been pushing for its adoption the most.
In order to collect funds for implementation of this law, a donor’s conference will be held, she said and highlighted the need to increase the participation of SMEs in public procurement.
EBRD Director for Serbia Matteo Patrone said that this bank is working on improving the role and competitiveness of the private sector, especially in agriculture business, SMEs and the banking sector.
He underlined that EBRD also supports the process of privatisation, deepening of financial intermediation and improvement of energy efficiency.
As part of the Programme for development of innovation and enterprises of the Western Balkans, the Enterprise Expansion Fund – ENEF started operating in Serbia, with a total worth of €77 million.
