IMF grants new three-year precautionary arrangement

Minister of Finance Dusan Vujovic stated late today that it is a great recognition for Serbia that the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) decided to close a three-year arrangement with Serbia.

Speaking as a guest in the Daily News of Radio Television Pink, Vujovic said that this arrangement is a recognition to all citizens of Serbia who have born the sacrifice of reduced pensions and salaries.
This is an encouragement to all to support the reforms and the development of a healthy economy.
This is also a recognition for the professional work of the Serbian government and Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, Vujovic added.
According to Vujovic, Serbia is already achieving impressive results.
We have reduced deficit, we have a surplus in the first 40 days of this year, and if it continues this way, we hope to take Serbia on the road of economic recovery, the Minister of Finance underlined.
