Surplus in trade of agriculture €1bn

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection announced that the Serbian agriculture in 2014 made exports increased by 8% compared to 2013.
According to data from the National Statistics Office, in the period January - November 2014, Serbia exported agriculture products in the amount of €2,073 million, compared to €1,901 million in 2013.
Imports in 2014 amounted to €1,095 million, which is 1% less than in the same period in 2013.
The trade surplus amounted to nearly €1 billion, or €977.6 million, which is 23% higher than the surplus for the same period in 2013, when it stood at €795 million.
The share of agriculture in total exports of the Republic of Serbia in 2014 amounted to 20.3%.
Last year, the highest export was of vegetables, fruits, cereals, cereal products and beverages.
