A French business delegation, that is in Belgrade as part of French Prime Minister Manuel Valls’ visit, met today with representatives of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure to discuss possible cooperation on infrastructure projects.
The French delegation presented the projects in the field of road and rail infrastructure, as well as plans for the development of airports in Serbia.
State Secretary Dejan Trifunovic said that the priority is faster implementation and completion of projects in road and rail infrastructure.
According to Trifunovic, the most important projects in road infrastructure include the construction of Corridor 10 and Corridor 11, and their value is approximately €2 billion, while the value of projects in the rail sector is around €1.3 billion.
Trifunovic said that the second priority is reforming public enterprises in order to increase their efficiency, and particularly emphasised merger of enterprises Roads of Serbia and Corridors of Serbia.
It was concluded that there is significant room for improving economic relations between Serbia and France, and French companies expressed interest in investing in Serbia, according to a statement.
