The Ministry of Mining and Energy said that Antic and Novak agreed that the security of gas supply is one of the key issues during the winter season.
Antic and Novak also discussed the oil company NIS and agreed that it is essential for both parties to be more involved in the implementation of development strategies in the coming period, particularly in the areas of future investments.
Antic and Novak talked about the debts of Serbian chemical industry to energy companies, and reached an agreement that a plan of financial consolidation as well as strategies for their energy supply are made.
They also agreed on the memorandum on energy efficiency, energy conservation and renewable energy, which will be signed during the upcoming visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Serbia on 16 October.
Antic is in Moscow on the occasion of the 13th session of the Intergovernmental Committee on Trade, Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation between Serbia and the Russian Federation, the statement added.
