The embassies of the member states of the Visegrad Group (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia), in cooperation with the Serbian government’s European Integration Office, have organised today in Belgrade a seminar on the Common Agricultural Policy of the EU.
Experts from the capitals of the four member states shared their experiences with Serbian experts from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management about two crucial topics: direct payments and the link between the national and European agricultural market.
The seminar was held on the eve of the screening for Chapter 11 (agriculture and rural development), which will significantly contribute to a better preparedness of the Serbian administration in the process of European integration.
The meeting was organised by the Hungarian embassy in Belgrade – the country currently presiding over the Visegrad Group.
At the opening of the seminar, representatives of the embassies of member states of the Visegrad Group reiterated that these countries offer a strong and lasting support to Serbia’s efforts in the European integration process both at the political and technical level, reads a joint statement by the embassies of member states of the Visegrad Group in Belgrade and by the European Integration Office.
