Serbia joins EU FP7 for research and technological development

Serbian Minister of Science Ana Pesikan signed today the Agreement on Serbia's accession to the EU Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) for research and technological development, which will help it participate in EU scientific and research initiatives on an equal footing with other member countries.
The Agreement will become effective immediately and because of it, preparation for application of candidates for the projects will begin immediately. Serbia is the only country which is a potential EU candidate that has signed this agreement today, the Minister of Science said.
That means that Serbian scientists can be a quality part of this project and that Serbia really has something to offer, she said and pointed out that the Serbian quality can be seen in the fact that out of 30 additional projects, 16 went to Serbia.
